Cyd Oppenheimer, J.D.

Cyd Oppenheimer is a Senior Policy Fellow at Connecticut Voices for Children, where she focuses on issues related to childcare, early childhood education, and K-12 education. Before joining CT Voices, Cyd worked at Sheehan & Reeve as a criminal defense attorney, and at The EdLaw Project, representing children in special education and disciplinary proceedings. She also served as a Teach For America corps member, teaching eighth grade English in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas.

Cyd received her B.A. from Williams College and her J.D. from The Yale Law School, where she was awarded the Arthur Liman Public Interest Fellowship. She lives in New Haven with her husband, 2 daughters, dog, and two cats.
