State Budget Documents

This state budget document resource page gathers together briefs and reports from CT Voices for Children, as well as key budget proposals and documents from the Governor, state agencies, the General Assembly, and other sources that relate to the state budget for Fiscal Year 2010 and beyond.  (Budget documents relating to Fiscal Year 2009 are also available.)  For more information, see our other State Tax and Budget publications.

The current economic recession means that the needs of Connecticut's families and communities are increasing, just as the state revenues available to meet those needs are declining.  To help meet the gap between growing needs and reduced resources, we need a balanced approach to reducing the deficit that preserves the services that help make Connecticut a great state in which to raise families. Research from Connecticut Voices for Children will inform these critical debates.
