Announcement: RSVP: CT Voices 7th Annual State Budget Forum - Connecticut Families in the Yo-yo Economy

CT Voices for Children's [1] State of Working Connecticut 2007 report found that real (inflation-adjusted) wages declined over the past five years for the majority of state residents. This occurred at the same time as productivity and profits were increasing. The finding raised the important question –- whose interests is the yo-yo (You’re On Your Own) economy serving?

CT Voices' 7th Annual Budget Forum will focus on this question and the causes and consequences of the yo-yo economy, including the widening gap between the state’s most wealthy residents and everyone else. Speakers also will address measures that Connecticut can take to stem the current economic downturn and assure a more widely-shared prosperity for years to come.

When: Tuesday, February 26, 10 a.m. registration, 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. progam (lunch will be served)
Where: Old Judiciary Room, State Capitol, Hartford
