This short fact sheet discusses the State Department of Education's decision to shift its categorization of schools districts from ERGs (Educational Reference Groups) to District Reference Groups (DRGs), identifies the factors used to group districts, and shows how all districts are now classified based on updated data. A table comparing each district's new DRG to its former ERG is included. (July 2006)
