The Impact of Pregnancy-Related and Maternal Factors on Well-Baby Care in HUSKY A For Babies Born in 2003

Priscilla Canny, Ph.D., Mary Alice Lee, Ph.D., Karen Sautter, M.P.H., & Amanda Learned, B.A.

This report finds that in 2003, nearly half of all babies born to mothers enrolled in HUSKY A received fewer than the recommended number of well-baby visits in the first 15 months of life. Risk for receiving less than recommended care was greater for infants of mothers who were younger, had lower education, or were Black or Hispanic. (September 2006)
