Family Well-Being Indicators for Larger Connecticut Cities and Towns, 2006-2008

In October 2009, the U.S. Census Bureau released demographic and socioeconomic data estimates for mid-sized cities and towns. Through the American Community Survey, the Census provided three-year average estimates for the period of 2006-2008 for cities and towns with populations of 20,000 or more.

This data sheet summarizes city and town data on child and family well-being for 54 cities and towns, including people under the federal poverty level (FPL), children below FPL, children under 200% of the FPL, median family income, homeownership, and residents with a bachelor's degree or higher. (October 2009)
